$20 tires are all inspected and healthy, ready to mount and ride. Slight wear may present in some cases, however most tires in the $20 category all are deemed worthy to live on and ride another day, very low or no wear, just maybe a little dirty or has tubeless residue that made photos not ideal. In the used bicycle world, a matching pair of tires is a lovely thing, so tires with a mate are listed and sold as pairs for $40 (two tires for $20 each, sold as a set).
